Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas is adding another line to his resume. In addition to being a two-time winner, Emmy-nominated dancer and choreographer for 12 seasons, and an actor, he’s now a recording artist.

Though he’s been performing for a while (and playing music since he was 9 years old), it wasn’t until this year that his hard work came to fruition. In an exclusive behind-the-scenes video teaser for Billboard, he reveals that he’s classically trained on the flamenco guitar and shows “a trailer for what you can be expecting at a live show or when the album is finally complete.”

Mark is a triple threat now. Well, more like an infinite threat since he can write music, play guitar, sing, dance, act, and much more. But for now, aside from hopefully winning DWTS Season 16 with partner Aly Raisman, he’s focused on his music.

“I think it gives you a really clear taste of what's to come,” he dishes. “All of this work will lead to my first full studio production album, where I get to show my true style and musical direction." Oh, and did we mention that direction comes from Timbaland & Co. and writing with the likes of  Jozzy and BC Jean? He isn’t messing around.

This has been several years in the making and his album will have “touches of jazz and blues, merged with rock, funk and flamenco and international pop, and highlighted by big urban beats.” Release date is TBA, but he recently signed a deal with BMG, so we’re sure a big announcement is just around the corner.
