Dancing With the Stars rehearsals took a frightening turn yesterday when pro dancer – and fan favorite – Karina Smirnoff suffered a major accident while practicing a flip with partner Jacoby Jones. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was reportedly examined for severe neck strain, whiplash and a possible jaw injury.

“She panicked when it happened,” a DWTS source tells Wetpaint Entertainment. “She couldn’t move her body. It was very scary.”

How’s she doing today and, more importantly, what will it mean it terms of tonight’s semi-finals performances?

“She got a CAT scan and, thank goodness, nothing’s broken,” the source says. “But she was just fitted with a neck brace.”

“As far as tonight goes, it’s still uncertain, but she’s pretty determined to perform. Obviously, if she does, she’ll take the brace off.”

Like a true pro, Karina’s performed injured before and we have our fingers crossed she’ll be able to brave it out tonight. Still, we wouldn’t want her doing anything that puts her health at risk. Not to mention, she and Jacoby got the Lindy Hop as their fan-voted dance tonight, and knowing Karina's stellar choreography, there's probably going to be a few high-flying kicks and flips involved. Everyone has two dances tonight, and after one couple goes home tomorrow, the final four will battle it out in the Finals.

We’re rooting for you, Karina. Feel better and stay safe!
