Andy Dick may not have taken home the Mirror Ball on Dancing With the Stars Season 16, but he did make a lifelong friend in pro partner Sharna Burgess. The two recently shared their mutual appreciation in an adorable Facebook love fest.

It started with Andy posting a picture he took of Sharna on Facebook, writing (amongst other amazing things), "I'd like to acknowledge my dance partner, Sharna Burgess. We shared a journey together that blew me away."

He went on to describe Sharna as an "artist dedicated. I rarely meet people with such a love and devotion to life and a certain craft, and this is Sharna. A powerhouse with a lust for life!" He added, "During our time together, she was everything to me, mother, sister, teacher, friend. I am eternally grateful that we were paired up. Dancing aside, I owe a lot to Sharna Burgess. And incidentally, this will not be our last dance together. I know this. Thank you for making me a better dancer, and more importantly, a better man. I love you, Sharna, and I will see you on that great ballroom floor called life. Love, Andy."

Tears. In. Our. Eyes.

Sharna responded to the post, calling it one of the most special things ever written about her. "I've said this to you in a txt but i want to say it here too," she wrote on her own Facebook. "You made our journey something that I will treasure forever, you let me in to see who you really are and I adore that man, I adore you.  I've danced on many stages around the world, but few of those moments can stand against our dance. The pride in me as I watched you grow is something I've not felt before ... You have such a special place in my heart, I love you Andy, and wherever we are on this planet I'm so connected to you because of what we shared and you will always be in my life. I can't wait to dance and share a moment with you again."

Sometimes, when the competition is getting fierce and everyone is busy voting for their Mirror Ball favorites, we forget that it's relationships like this that make Dancing With the Stars so special, both for the people involved, and for the viewers watching life-long friendships form before their eyes.

Sigh. We'll miss seeing Andy and Sharna dance together every week!
