After a very public split with the Church of Scientology earlier this year, former King of Queens star Leah Remini is joining Season 17 of Dancing With the Stars.

TMZ reports that the sitcom star has been cast on Season 17 of the long-running ABC dancing series, along with a slew of other stars, including football player Keyshawn Johnson, singer Christina Milian, and actress Elizabeth Berkley. Wetpaint Entertainment recently learned exclusively that Glee star Amber Riley was going to be joining the cast, so this year is shaping up to be a stellar one.

Earlier this year, Leah filed a missing persons report regarding the disappearance of Scientology church leader David Miscavige’s wife, Shelly. The higher ups were not pleased, and the rift between Leah and the church only widened.

After leaving the church, Leah released a statement: "I wish to share my sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming positive response I have received from the media, my colleagues, and from fans around the world," she said, "I am truly grateful and thankful for all your support."

It looks like Leah will be looking for even more support now, but this time, it will be in the form of DWTS votes. The cast of Season 17 will be officially revealed on September 4 on Good Morning America, but at this rate, we’ll most likely know all the big reveals before then.
