While Karina Smirnoff is well known for her long and successful career on Dancing With the Stars, she’s not a one-trick pony. In addition to dancing in her 14th season of the hit competition show, she just completed a Broadway run with fellow DWTS pro Maks Chmerkovskiy in Forever Tango and a starring film debut directed by former partner Ralph Macchio.

Basically, Karina shows no signs of slowing down, and her career is only getting bigger. But just how big? Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with her at the Dancing With the Stars 2013 premiere after-party at Mixology on September 16, and she couldn’t be more excited about her new projects.

“The movie we shot all winter and now it’s playing in festivals,” she said of Across Grace Alley, the short film she wrapped recently. “It’s awesome to experience art in a different form than dance. It was such an eye-opening experience.”

Her taste of Broadway also made her eager to get back on stage. “To do Broadway this summer, there’s nothing like it,” she raved. “You do the same show eight times a week and each time, you have to find something new, something different in it. During the next break, I would love to back to Broadway or shoot another movie.”

Sounds incredible. What do you want to see Karina do next? Sound off below!
