While Bill Nye and Tyne Stecklein didn’t receive rave reviews for their performance on Dancing With the Stars 2013’s premiere on September 16, they broke a huge record on YouTube.

The dynamic duo (aka “Hot Knowledge”) and their “Weird Science” routine has the most YouTube views of any dance in DWTS history, according to host Tom Bergeron.

On September 21, Tom wrote, “BTW, @TheScienceGuy and @TyneStecklein's premiere DWTS dance has the most @YouTube views of ANY dance in DWTS history! #hotknowledge.”

The official DWTS YouTube account doesn’t have the video up, but a quick search of “Bill Nye” and “Dancing With the Stars” shows an astounding 2,764,647 views on a version of the video (as of 6 p.m. ET on September 23) and that number is rising quickly. Whoa! Bill Nye is famous for more than science now, that’s for sure.

Honestly, we’ve watched it a few times for the sheer entertainment value, and hey — with the new judging and voting format, they may not be eliminated tonight! If they step up their game, their 14 points combined with a slew of audience votes could save them.

Do you think Bill and Tyne will survive tonight’s elimination? Sound off below, and catch DWTS at 8 p.m. ET on ABC tonight, September 23!
