We're now two weeks in to Dancing With the Stars Season 17, and the effect of the new format has finally been felt in force, thanks to the elimination of Sharna Burgess and Keyshawn Johnson last night. And by last night, we mean Monday. Because, yes, eliminations happen on Monday now. No, we're still not used to it.

In fact, that's exactly what we want to talk to you about: How is the new format working out for you, the fan?

There are definitely a lot of positives about the new way of doing things. There's no question that the Monday show now feels more full and fast paced; in the past all of the filler could drag the pacing down and make two hours feel like twenty. We love that Mondays now feel like dancing, dancing, dancing, non-stop.

That said, we still kind of miss the Tuesday results show. Yes, that hour was basically all filler, but when your "filler" largely consists of professional dancers doing that they're best at... Well, that's pretty darned awesome. We kinda miss it.

Plus, we're not sure how we feel about the elimination at the end of the night. Is it nice to have the whole story of the week wrapped up in a neat little bow? For sure. But we worry that the audience will at some point miss out on the chance to vote for someone who has shown drastic improvement, because they might get cut before we get a chance to have our say about their latest performance.

What do you think: Is the new format and improvement, or did you prefer the old way? Sound off in the comments below!
