With sweeping motions and smiles, the duo had the ballroom applauding throughout their performance. They glided beautifully across the floor, ending with an adorable bow and a standing ovation from the crowd.
Guest judge Julianne Hough kicked off the commentary, calling the dance “elegant and beautiful.” She applauded their teamwork, though noted Valerie is vulnerable when she’s dancing on her own. “I bow down to you,” she concluded.
Bruno agreed, saying, “This week, you painted a very pretty picture, my darling.” However, he had some advice: “If you go wrong, cover it up, don’t show the mistakes. Just act over it.” Carrie Ann noted that her mistakes were more prominent tonight, suggesting that she works to pretend like she’s 100 percent sure of her movements if that happens again.
Not surprisingly, they scored 6s across the board, landing them with 18 points.
