Ouch! So far, Dancing With the Stars Season 17 has produced several injuries, from Bill Nye's quads to Amber Riley's knee. So when we hear something broke, we get nervous — and then expect that person to pull a Brant Daugherty and dance to the top of the leaderboard anyway.

Karina Smirnoff's break isn't that scary, but it is sad in a different way. She shared this broken heel photo on Instagram, writing, "Oh no! Foxtrot won! Lol @corbinbleu @dancingabc."

Foxtrot: 1, shoe: 0! And it's a boot, too. Karina does love boots and even designed a couple, including one modeled after her Romeo and Juliet dance with Ralph Macchio in Season 12.

Let's hope the rest of Corbin Bleu and Karina's Foxtrot rehearsal is more successful. Week 5 marks the return of the Most Memorable Year theme, and Corbin told Access Hollywood his performance will have to do with his family. "My family for me is everything. My mom has always said your friends will come and go, your family's always there. So, 2011 was a big year of change for us, so I'm doing this one for them."

That sounds sweet and serious and probably not related to broken boots at all, so fingers crossed that their shoes behave from now on!

Want to know what else everyone is dancing for Week 5? Here's a list of what dance styles to expect. Are you excited for the Most Memorable Year theme? Sound off below, and catch the episode on Monday, October 14 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
