Cher is bringing her magical self back into the ballroom to guest-judge and perform on Dancing With the Stars Season 17, Week 8. Her son, Chaz Bono, competed on Season 13 and we’ve wanted her back ever since.
The seven remaining couples are also excited to see Cher, even if it’s acknowledged that maybe she’s not a perfect match for Len Goodman’s ballroom dancing experience.
"I think it's amazing,” Val Chmerkovskiy told On the Red Carpet of having Cher as guest-judge. “First of all, it's a huge honor to dance for Cher, even though she's maybe not a qualified ballroom dancer, she most certainly is well qualified in judging entertainment and passion and emotion and synchronization. She's got a good eye for what looks good. But that aside, I'm just excited to be in front of Cher. You know, I want to make an impression on Cher. I want her [turns to Elizabeth Berkley] to make an impression to her. I want us to be her favorite walking away from the show."
Elizabeth added, "We're on a mission, we're on a mission and we have a great style next week to do that."
They have Jazz, which probably will dazzle Cher. Bill Engvall and Emma Slater were the lucky couple to get Disco, which is also likely to impress Cher. The couples all have two dances again this week: their individual routines and the Dance-Off immunity challenge.
Do you think Elizabeth and Val will be Cher’s favorites? Sound off below!
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
