Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough can’t stop winning! Last season’s Dancing With the Stars Mirror Ball champions collaborated on her music video for “Someone Somewhere Tonight” and now it’s been nominated in the fourth annual American Country Awards.

As Derek tweeted on October 30, with a link to their video, “Congrats to my country girl Kellie Pickler for having her video nominated .Loved being a part and help create with her.”

It’s especially great to see the video nominated since, as Kellie put it to Parade over the summer, “We just kind of winged it. I literally called Derek a week before we shot the video and was like, ‘Do you think you could choreograph my video?’ He was like, ‘Absolutely!’ I’m so happy with how it all turned out.”

That’s Emmy-winning choreographer Derek now. The guy’s on a roll.

If you haven’t seen it already, watch the beautiful video below. Kellie and Derek get very close as they dance, but she told Rolling Stone she was inspired by her husband, Kyle Jacobs. “I had my wedding video playing in the studio so that I could see my husband while I was singing," Kellie said. "We didn't see each other a lot when I was on the show, so I got even more emotional singing, because I missed him."

And she added that Derek “is like a brother to me” and they’d bust out laughing as they danced. He’s in her safe zone. “Since I know him and have danced with him so much, I'm comfortable with him and trust him. And Kyle trusts me! I've never given him a reason not to. I'm not a fool — I'd never do anything to jeopardize what I have with him."

Isn’t she lucky? She gets her loving husband and Derek Hough. Life is good.

Kellie's video is nominated for Music Video of the Year: Female. She's up against Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, and Carrie Underwood. It's a good group to be in! The ACAs will air December 10 at 8 p.m. on FOX. You can vote for your favorite nominees here.

Good luck to Kellie and Derek!
