On Dancing With the Stars Season 17, Week 9, Amber Riley and Derek Hough were faced with the Quickstep, which was a little hard with her injuries.

In their video package, Amber talked about how good DWTS has been for her confidence. She's doing two high energy dances this week, which is a challenge, but she picked up her steps fast. Still, because of her injury they couldn't rehearse as much as Derek would have liked.

The danced featured the pair in matching tan outfits. They looked very dapper. We love Amber's bow. Amber definitely had her energy up, but it didn't necessarily have the speed or sharpness of the very best quicksteps.

Len called this night the beginning of the end. He liked Derek's choreography, but he thought Amber was too loose in her "top lines," and he wished it was cleaner. "If you don't polish, you're not going to shine." Bruno said her performance level was full on, but she made a few mistakes, and he agreed the top line was off. Carrie Ann said Amber has set the standard high, but she didn't live up to it.

Score: 8, 8, 8
