Can you believe it’s already Dancing With the Stars Season 17, Week 10? This season is longer than usual, but it still feels like it flew by. We’re now at the Semifinals, and the final five couples have another two dances to get through before we meet our Final 4.
In the first round, the couples will perform either a Jazz, Paso Doble, Cha Cha or Tango routine to an original or "plugged" version of their selected song. In round two of competition, the couples will perform either a Viennese Waltz, Argentine Tango or Rumba routine to an acoustic or "unplugged" version of that same song.
Oh, and someone named Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be guest judging. Perhaps you've heard of him?
Here’s who is dancing what on Monday, November 18.
Amber Riley and Derek Hough: Viennese Waltz and Jazz
Derek talked to AfterBuzz solo, presumably because Amber was resting her knees.
Derek said the game plan to get to the Finals is just to put in the hours, unlike this past week when they had very little rehearsal time. He was shocked they were able to do as much as they did Monday night, but he doesn't want Amber’s injury to be a crutch, like "That was good... for someone who is injured." They have to get past this.
Next week they have Viennese Waltz and Jazz. On Wednesday, Amber tweeted, "Excited for rehearsal! @derekhough came up with some bangin’ choreography (as if there was a question lol). Really stoked about this Monday!"
Bill Engvall and Emma Slater: Cha-Cha-Cha and Argentine Tango
Emma told AfterBuzz "We have Cha-Cha and Argentine Tango."
She and Bill were disappointed to get 7s on Week 9 and that led them to think they might be leaving. When they were next to Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy in "jeopardy," they were sure they were leaving. For the record, his knees are killing him. too!
Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff: Tango and Rumba
Corbin told AfterBuzz, "We have the Tango and we have the Rumba." Karina added, "To the same song." Corbin noted, "One's a cover, and one's the original song."
Interesting… Corbin and Karina also have their share of bumps and bruises, but they don’t really care. There are only two weeks left.
Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani: Paso Doble and Argentine Tango
"We've got Paso Doble and Argentine Tango," Tony told AfterBuzz. He turned to Leah, "Now you're going to get to do the kicks and the flicks." She's going to be in character, too, since that’s her strength.
Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke: Jazz and Argentine Tango
Jack and Cheryl were shocked to see Elizabeth go before the Semis. Cheryl told On the Red Carpet her Final 4 predictions for the season are Amber, Corbin, Elizabeth and either Christina or Snooki. Only two of those celebs are left, and she and Jack could make the Finals.
They didn't discuss their Week 10 dance styles, but Jack tweeted on Tuesday, "Holy crap!!! I'm going to the semi finals! That is just craziness. Aaaaahnhhhhh! Ok game face...time to rehearse. Thanks for all the support." Based on what ABC said everyone is dancing, and what Jack and Cheryl have already performed, it seems like they'll be doing Jazz and AT. Update: Cheryl later tweeted, ""We dance our Jazz 3rd tomorrow and our Argentine Tango 6th! Can't believe we have made it to the semi-finals. Its all because of YOU!"
Which dance are you most excited to see this week? Any predictions on who may be going home, or is it too hard to even guess anymore? Sound off below.
