Dancing With the Stars Season 17 is waltzing into an epic conclusion this week, but only three couples could make it to Tuesday night's dazzling finale, and sadly, that meant we had to say goodbye to funny man Bill Engvall and newbie pro Emma Slater. (Meanwhile, frontrunners Amber Riley and Corbin Bleu will duke it out with most improved Jack Osbourne for Mirror Ball glory.)

He may have come just shy of taking home the coveted Mirror Ball, but Bill left the ballroom on a high note — his Indiana Jones-themed Freestyle earned Bill his first, and only, 9 of the season — surprisingly, from head judge Len Goodman! Bill has been the heart and soul of the season since his Week 3 Paso Doble stole the show — and our hearts! — and he became a serious contender, not for his incredible skill, but for his unbreakable spirit. While we're sad we're not going to see Bill and Emma duke it our for total Mirror Ball domination, we think it's for the best. Had Bill defeated Jack Osbourne tonight, he would have had to dance a Jive/Quickstep combo during Tuesday night's finale.

But cheer up, DWTS fans! We'll see Bill and Emma — and all the Season 17 couples — back in the ballroom tomorrow night for the epic finale.

What do you think, DWTS fans? Did Bill and Emma deserve to go home? Do you think the right three couples made it to the finale? Sound off in the comments!
