If you missed the big Dancing With the Stars news this weekend, there’s a lot to catch up on.

On Saturday, it was revealed that Brooke Burke-Charvet was let go as co-host; the surprise was quickly followed by the rumor that she would be replaced by sports reporter and DWTS Season 10 alum Erin Andrews. ABC confirmed the Erin co-host news on Monday, February 24. The Season 18 cast will be revealed on Tuesday, March 4 on Good Morning America and it looks like Erin will be by host Tom Bergeron’s side for the announcement.

How do you feel about that? (Ironic to be asking that, when it’s the question Brooke asked most often.)

To be honest, we weren’t too surprised when the Brooke news hit, only because we thought the show might be cutting costs a bit in the wake of lower ratings in the past few years. They dumped the Results Show, and Brooke didn’t even have a backstage area or Celebriquarium for interviews, so why did they really need two hosts? Most shows only have one, and Tom won an Emmy for how much he’s rocking his job. So we were a bit surprised to see the co-host position wasn’t cut, it was just changed — the latest tweak in an attempt to reboot the show after 17 seasons. Change is scary, but it can be positive. We’ll have to wait and see.

Erin and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were a sextacular version of The Bickersons on Season 10 and her sharp wit should be a good match for Tom. It’s great to have her back in the ballroom … but what is she going to do? Will the co-host job change? Erin will be the show’s fourth co-host, after Lisa Canning, Samantha Harris, and Brooke. If DWTS is going to have two hosts they should figure out the second person’s role.

But enough from us — what do you think?

How do you feel about Erin replacing Brooke? Glad? Mad? Hopeful? Apathetic? Other? What should the role of the co-host be on this show? Weigh in below!
