The 12 couples of Dancing With the Stars Season 18 were just revealed, and you may have noticed some semi-new faces on the pro side. Witney Carson (no “h”) and Henry Byalikov were promoted from the DWTS pro troupe for their first competing seasons. Congrats to our newbies!

You can already tell she’s a stunner, but here are a few other things to know about Miss Wit.

1. She and Cody are youngest-ever couple on DWTS. Witney, 20, is currently paired with Cody Simpson, who just turned 17 last month and enters DWTS with nearly 6.5 million Twitter followers. Um, that’s a lot! So she’s already off to a strong start. On March 4, Cody tweeted, “Youngest couple ever to be on Dancing With The Stars. psyched to be apart of this season. please root for us ayeee!” Cody isn’t the youngest-ever celeb, that’s still 16-year-old Zendaya, who was last spring’s runner-up. He and Witney are actually close matches for Season 7's Cody Linley and Julianne Hough, who were around this same age back in 2008. Could this Cody team beat their fourth-place finish?

2. She was on So You Think You Can Dance with Lindsay Arnold. Witney and last year’s competing pro, Lindsay Arnold, both came to DWTS from So You Think You Can Dance Season 9. Witney made the top six, and she and Lindsay even got to dance together. Watch them perform and talk about their experience in this FOX13Now interview.

3. Chelsie Hightower is her idol. There’s something about pretty blonde dancers from Utah that just works for DWTS — Julianne, Chelsie Hightower, Lindsay, and now Witney. According to her website, Witney was born and raised in the small town of American Fork, Utah. She started her dancing career at age 3, and she’s been trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, tap, latin and standard ballroom. In her SYTYCD bio, she was asked which dancer from another season inspired her. “Chelsie Hightower,” Witney answered. “I relate to her, especially because she is from Utah and a Ballroom dancer. I look up to her so much in so many ways. She's my idol!” And now Witney is following her idol’s footsteps from SYTYCD to competing DWTS pro.

4. She's a movie star. Witney actually has the lead role of Jennifer in David Winters's dance film East Side Story. The IMDb summary compares it to Dirty Dancing, Karate Kid, and High School Musical, saying it's about a young girl in Beverly Hills named Jennifer who visits her father's Panama City Beach Hotel during summer break. She falls in love with a boy named Ken, who works as a dishwasher; they’re from different backgrounds, but they share the same passion for dance. Ken is played by Chehon Wespi-Tschopp, the male winner of SYTYCD Season 9. Watch Chehon and Witney talk about the movie on set last January. It’s not clear if or when the movie might be getting a wide release.

5. She was a dental assistant. Seriously! She joined SYTYCD at age 18, having recently graduated from high school, and in her show bio she said she didn’t have a job, but she interned as a dental assistant at Dr. Noot’s office in American Fork.

6. She loves golf and guitar. In her SYTYCD bio, Witney said people might be surprised to learn that she loves to golf. “You would think I would hate it because I can't sit still for more than a few minutes but it's true! My family has been playing for a while but I recently just started and discovered I enjoy it! I also started playing the guitar and drums.” If you follow her Twitter or Instagram, you see she also loves her furry “lover boy.”

7. She got a great showcase in Corbin Bleu’s Jazz Trio. Last fall, Witney was part of Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff’s amazing Jazz Trio to Usher's "Yeah!" You may remember the funny scene in rehearsals when Corbin wanted to know if it was OK to put his hands on Witney's rear end. She smiled and said, "I mean, yeah, if it'll get us 10s." Corbin loved her whatever-works attitude — and it did work! Re-live their rehearsals and perfect-scoring routine.

Are you excited to see Witney and Cody in action this spring? Do you think they could win?

DWTS Season 18 premieres Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
