Longtime DWTS pro Anna Trebunskaya hasn't competed on the show since Season 15, and she just gave birth to her first child, daughter Amalya, on January 18. Right now she’s busy doing all the fun mom stuff, but she told RumorFix she just returned to teaching last week, and she'd be ready to return to DWTS sometime in April. Obviously she's not competing in the new season — which starts Monday, March 17 — but she said she'd like to either do some special dances or choreograph a routine.
Get on it, DWTS!
Anna also told RumorFix she hasn't lost all the baby weight yet. "I’ll be honest with you, I still have a good eight pounds to go." It's only been about seven weeks! She told the site her diet has been geared toward both losing weight and breast feeding, so she eats a lot of "healthy fats" like avocado and nuts, plus vegetables, yogurt, whole grains, and fruit except for citrus. Read more from her in the full interview.
Are you excited to possibly see Anna back in the ballroom this spring, and maybe even see her compete next season, if she's ready and The Powers That Be find her a partner?
DWTS Season 18 premieres Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
