At the end of the Dancing With the Stars Season 18 premiere, the 12 couples were given their Week 2 dance styles, based on what the celebs were supposedly most looking forward to dancing. It was funny watching the stars react to their so-called favorites, since some of them looked like they had never even heard of the styles.

NeNe Leakes and Tony Dovolani got the Jive for Week 2, and based on NeNe’s expressions in her post-show interview with On the Red Carpet, it’s clear she did not pick this one. The Jive is her husband Gregg’s favorite dance, not hers, they explained. Tony tried to keep his face neutral, but he admitted this is not what he wanted for NeNe as a follow-up to their Week 1 Cha-Cha-Cha.

“I wanted to save some of those exciting, energetic dances for a little bit later in the competition,” he said. “We started with Cha-Cha and now we've got Jive. Two exciting dances. I don't want to get to Week 8 and start doing Foxtrot." Yep, he’s already planning dances for Week 8! When he first met NeNe, he figured maybe they'd get to Week 5 based on her popularity, but now he says he’d be disappointed to not make the Finals. She’s a great student.

Everybody expects fireworks between Tony and NeNe, he said, but that's not going to happen; he joked that her alter ego, Nay-Nay, missed the flight in Atlanta and never made it to L.A. “She’s not allowed in my studio!” NeNe said she’s calmer than people might expect and she doesn't think she really has a “larger-than-life personality.” The people who say that don't really know her.

NeNe definitely showed off a big personality in her Cha-Cha, which opened the premiere. She did not look like she had any nerves out there, but she didn’t look too calm either — she looked like a natural performer. Do you think she can keep that momentum into Week 2, even if they have a less-than-ideal dance style in the Jive?
