On Dancing With the Stars Season 18, Week 3, Most Memorable Year week, Amy Purdy and Derek Hough danced the Contemporary to tell the story of 1999, the year of her illness, and the way her dad saved her life.

Her dad gave her a kidney, which helped save her life. Tears. Amy talked about how painful and confining her legs felt at first, but music on the radio prompted her to get up and dance with her dad. This dance is the story of her journey and a tribute to her dad.

Amy had to use a special leg prosthetic for this dance, but the dance didn't hold her back at all. It was a lovely, passionate dance. She has fantastic quality of movement, and is very expressive.

Bruno adored it. Carrie Ann said Amy reminds us all what it is to be human. Len said it touched his brain with the level of difficulty, his heart with the level of artistry. Robin said there are not enough superlatives.

Score: 36/40.
