On the Dancing With the Stars semifinals (Season 18, Week 9), Charlie White and Sharna Burgess tried their hand at the Samba for the second dance. It was to "Mo' Money, Mo' Problems" by Notorious B.I.G., which was a big of a struggle for him, style wise. Hip-hop styling is not his forte.

OK, so this is not as natural on him as some of the more classic styles, but he gets pretty into character, and the dancing is great. Lots and lots of good Samba content mixed with the hip-hop attitude. We really enjoyed it. Go, Charlie, go!

Kenny Ortega said it was clean, committed, precise, but lacking a little funk. Bruno said Samba is all about carefree fun, and Charlie did that effortlessly. That said, he needed a little more hit on the beats. Carrie Ann is said he's in jeopardy; she wants to live in Charlie's world. His joy is clear, but he was a little flat footed. Len agrees: it looked a little heavy at times. That said, he deserves to be in the finals.

Score: 36/40.

Dancing With the Stars airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
