It's the Dancing With the Stars Season 18 finale, which means it's Freestyle time. Of course,  Derek Hough is basically the king of Freestyles, so Amy Purdy was in good hands.

In their video package they talked about Amy overcoming the odds. You know the story by this point. She was determined to get back to snowboarding after her injury, and that was kind of like trying to learn how to dance. She needed to figure out how she could do this. Each week was a new experiment. Their Freestyle was a reflection of that journey.

She did a Freestyle. Lots of lifts. A lot of nice movement. And then it had a big finish, with Amy going flying on a ribbon. Very cool.

Len didn't think the ribbon was needed, but he loved the emotions and choreography. Bruno said she redefined what's possible, it was great. Carrie Ann started by wondering why there were so many lifts, but then the chorus clicked in, and Amy was dancing.

Score: 29/30.

The Dancing With the Stars Season 18 finale, Night 2 airs tomorrow, Tuesday May 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
