Night 1 of the Dancing With the Stars Season 18 finals (Week 10) brought us some of the most stunning dances of the season — but not everyone lived up to their full potential.

Who blew us away, and who faltered under the pressure? Read on for Wetpaint Entertainment's picks for best and worst of the night, and then share your own choices in the comments below!

Best: Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Freestyle

If Freestyles win Mirror Balls, Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy should run away with the prize, at least if you ask us. This Freestyle left us with our jaws on the ground. Pure artistry, through and through. Proof that gimmicks are nothing compared to true emotion in motion.

Score: 30/30.

Honorable Mention: Amy Purdy and Derek Hough, Freestyle

While Amy Purdy and Derek Hough's Contemporary-ish Freestyle didn't do quite as much for us as Meryl and Maks's, there's no denying that it was a show stopper.

Score: 29/30.

Honorable Mention: Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Argentine Tango

Another jaw dropping performance by this duo. You may or may not have an issue with Meryl based on her perceived ringer status, but there's no denying that she shines like few stars ever have.

Score: 30/30.

Worst: Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas, Freestyle

Candace Cameron Bure was clearly having a blast out there, and we give Mark Ballas props for doing all those lifts with an injured shoulder, but in the end this just felt too busy and a bit messy.

Score: 24/30.

Dishonorable Mention: James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd, Tango

There was nothing wrong with this Tango from James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd, but we ultimately found it totally forgettable.

Score: 29/30.
