The Magic Mike sequel — called XXL — is coming out next year and it should star just about every pro on Dancing With the Stars, plus a few past celebs, including Season 18's James Maslow. Why not? They’re hot, they love to take off their shirts, and they can dance. It's a win-win.

Still, James probably didn't expect to be asked about Magic Mike when he and the final four couples of Season 18 were on Good Morning America. Lara Spencer read off a fan Q asking if James would be in the new movie. His pro partner Peta Murgatroyd got a huge kick out of that. James just said, "Haven't had the offer yet but, who knows."

Lara said she imagined DWTS would open more doors for James, beyond his status as a star from Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush. "This show has been a wonderful platform for me," James, 24, said. "It's been the first time, I think, that people have been able to seen me at my age, versus the kids show I was doing for so many years. It's been really fantastic and I'm so glad I did it."

That’s true. DWTS helped James expand his fan base into some new demographics, which can only help in his career. He’d make even more fans if he were cast in Magic Mike 2 — and someone should send that film’s casting director a few tapes from the spring 2014 season. They’d probably cast Tony “#DWTSShirtOff Dovolani first!

Would you like to see any DWTS celebs or pros in Magic Mike? If so, name ‘em in the comments! It probably won’t happen, but … you never know.
