What do you think about Dancing With the Stars Season 19 returning to The Bachelor well, but casting a couple to compete against each other? It's just a rumor at this point, so don't get excited/upset, but HollywoodLife said DWTS is considering casting current Bachelorette Andi Dorfman and her eventual winner for the fall 2014 season.

Good idea? Bad idea? No idea yet?

DWTS has a long history of casting stars from its fellow Monday night ABC show, starting with Trista Sutter back on DWTS Season 1, and continuing with Melissa Rycroft (who would go on to win All-Stars in her second DWTS run), Jake Pavelka, and Sean Lowe. But there was also a rumor at one point that both Season 6 Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky and her now ex-fiancé Roberto Martinez would be cast to dance together after their season. That didn’t pan out, and it’s possible Andi and her potential fiancé also won’t dance.

DWTS has tried for competing couples before.

Both Jewel and her husband Ty Murray were cast for Season 8, but Jewel had to withdraw after being injured. (That same season, pro Julianne Hough danced with her boyfriend at the time, Chuck Wicks, but they weren’t competing against each other.) Last season, Meryl Davis and her longtime ice dancer partner Charlie White competed against each other in a friendly non-rivalry, and Season 18 cast other potential rivals in former teen TV stars Danica McKellar and Candace Cameron Bure, plus pop stars Cody Simpson and James Maslow.

The spring 2014 season was pretty well-received, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the DWTS Powers That Be try to find more “rivalries” like that, since they bring automatic storylines without becoming negative. Making one of those “rivalries” a Bachelorette couple might actually be cute for fans to watch, and it would be a way for the pair to bond (when they’re not bonding with their respective dance partners).

What do you think of this idea, whether it actually happens or not? Because even if Andi and Whoever don’t dance this season, DWTS could always revive the idea for the next season of The Bachelor or next year’s Bachelorette. Does the concept sound appealing or are you giving this a hard “no”? Vote in the poll below!

DWTS Season 19 premieres this fall on ABC.
