It’s all fun and games with The Muppets until someone gets a hiii-ya chop to the nether regions!

Dancing With the Stars and America’s Funniest Home Videos host Tom Bergeron is returning to Washington, D.C. to host 2014’s “A Capitol Fourth” concert. The show will air live Friday, July 4 from 8 to 9:30 p.m. ET on PBS, with performances from Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, Jordin Sparks, Phillip Phillips, Frankie Valli, Michael McDonald, Patti LaBelle, Kendall Schmidt, Sara Evans, and John Williams and the National Symphony Orchestra.

Tom shared his fear about reuniting with a certain Muppet: "My only concern about hosting @July4thPBS is trouble with Miss Piggy,” Tom tweeted. “We have, shall we say, a history..." He shared the video below, from 2005, when The Muppets shared his hosting duties on AFV and Miss Piggy gave him a karate chop to the gut … that was slightly below his actual gut:

Ha! Tom does not want that to happen again. (Or maybe he does, since it would make good TV.) On June 28, he tweeted "Off to DC Tuesday to host @July4thPBS. Kermit and I will be doing TV interviews Wednesday. Hope Miss Piggy behaves. @TheMuppets #July4thPBS." On July 1, he added, "Just arrived in DC for @July4thPBS. Fingers crossed that Mother Nature...and Miss Piggy...play nice! #July4thPBS." Tom also shared the photo shown above with Kermit, since he’s the safe Muppet to be around.

According to USA Today, Kermit and Miss Piggy will perform the Oscar-nominated song “Rainbow Connection” with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Jack Everly.

It should be a fun night — with fireworks in the sky and possibly between Tom and Miss Piggy!
