Judge Len Goodman has been part of Dancing With the Stars since the start, but we might one day have to face a ballroom without him. At the end of Season 18 Len hinted that he might retire; even if he does return for Season 19, he might decide to leave the show behind in the future. What would DWTS be without him?

Wetpaint Entertainment recently chatted with some of Dancing With the Stars's most beloved pros at the performance of SWAY: A Dance Trilogy, which starred Maksim and Val Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani and Peta Murgatroyd. While we had them on hand, we had to ask how they thought Len's absence would impact the show, if he ever were to leave.

"Obviously he would be missed," Tony told us. "He'd be greatly missed.... I love Len, I love what he brings to the show. His voice is always heard loud and clear, and he's a big reason why the show's a success."

Maks joked that if Len left, "the average age will get severely lower." But then he added in all seriousness that, while he and Len have had a "fun" (read: sometimes contentious) relationship over the years, "if he is to leave, the last thing I will remember of him is him giving me a bunch on 10s and eventually reinforcing that we should win the trophy. I can't really say anything bad because there's a lot of positives from last season."

Maks went on: "Len is a staple. Few other elements of Dancing With the Stars [have] been there from the beginning. He represents the show. It's not what he represents to the show, he is the show. He, Cheryl, Tony — people that have been there for a long time and have contributed to every stage of Dancing With the Stars."

Val agreed that Len has been a part of the show for a long time, but pointed out that most other reality shows have changed judges over time. "So if they do change it, if the producers decide that's a good idea, then that's what I go with. I stick to dancing."

Peta focused on exactly when Len brings to the table, saying that in her opinion, "We would definitely have to replace him with a technical judge, because I like that aspect of him. Carrie Ann is more on the emotional side, Bruno is the entertainment factor, and Len is the technique stickler. So we'd definitely need someone to replace him." We totally agree!

Another thing we agree with? Peta's suggestion of who could fill Len's shoes: "You know what? Maks would be a great pick."
