During the Dancing With the Stars Season 18 finale, head judge Len Goodman hinted that he could be retiring before Season 19. There have been rumors for years that Len is ready to step down from the job of judge — after all, he is 70, and also spends his falls judging Strictly Come Dancing in the UK — but it turns out that he's not hanging up his paddles just yet.

This morning, ABC announced that former pro Julianne Hough is returning to the show as a full time judge. A full time fourth judge. Because yes, Len is back! (As are Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, but there was never really any doubt about that.)

That said, it's possible we'll be seeing a few weeks without Len. According to Cheryl Burke, Len is likely to miss a few weeks in the falls season, because of not wanting to travel between California and the UK every week while Strictly and DWTS are both on. Of course, this is nothing new — Len also took a few weeks off last fall. Maybe they can bring Maksim Chmerkovskiy on as a sub. Maks and Julianne judging at the same time? You know that would get interesting...
