Despite some barely-there costumes and Bruno Tonioli's love of sexual innuendo, Dancing With the Stars is, at it's heart, a very family-friendly show. However, according to host Erin Andrews, what goes on when the cameras aren't rolling is a whole other ball(room) game.
In fact, in an interview with Fox News, Erin joked that the Dancing With the Stars dress rehearsals are pitch-perfect for the expletive laden world of cable TV.
"Our dress rehearsals need to find their way on to cable television," Erin dished to Fox. "They're dirty. They're nasty. They're funny. They would never be allowed on regular broadcast TV, and it’s some of the best material ever."
According to Erin, it's all down to host Tom Bergeron, who she a call the "quarterback" of the show. "Dude has the driest, most sarcastic sense of humor, always keeps me on my toes."
Of course, we all got a taste of that when we were shown some clips from the dress rehearsals in the Season 18 finale. It felt like every other word Tom said was bleeped out, and we were in stitches. We think Erin's on to something. We'd totally watch a Dancing With the Stars dress rehearsal special on HBO. Just sayin'.
