It’s Dancing With the Stars premiere month, everybody! The official Season 19 cast will be revealed this Thursday, September 4, and the show starts with a two-night intro on Monday, September 15 and Tuesday, September 16.
The pros were already revealed for the season, including the most welcome surprise announcement of the 13th pro, Sharna Burgess. But which celebs will be dancing with them? The partners have already met each other, and you may have noticed some teasing photos on social media, with the pros trying to hide their partners. (See Witney Carson and Mystery Man above.) But celeb casting rumors have been leaking like crazy in the past week, and fans have been putting together potential pairings.
This is just a rumored list, but here’s what @DWTSGossip put together as a possible rundown of the fall 2014 partners:
Sadie Robertson (Duck Dynasty star, 17) and Mark Ballas
Bethany Mota (YouTube blogger, 18) and Derek Hough
Janel Parrish (Pretty Little Liars actress, 25) and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Lolo Jones (Track and field athlete, 32) and Keo Motsepe
Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls actor, 33) and Allison Holker
Alfonso Ribeiro (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor, 42) and Witney Carson
Antonio Sabato Jr. (General Hospital actor, 42) and Cheryl Burke
Michael Waltrip (Race car driver, 51) and Emma Slater
Randy Couture (UFC champion, 51) and Karina Smirnoff
Lea Thompson (Back to the Future actress, 53) and Artem Chigvintsev
Betsey Johnson (Fashion designer, 72) and Tony Dovolani
Tommy Chong (Cheech & Chong star, 76) and Peta Murgatroyd
Don’t take it all for gospel, but it looks like the site put together a solid list. It’s believable, anyway.
What do you think of this group, if it turns out to be accurate? There’s quite an age gap from 17 and 18 to 72 and 76! It’s not hard to figure out who has better odds of keeping up with the strenuous pace of the show. (Why can’t Derek get the amazing but 72-year-old Betsey and Tony get 18-year-old Bethany, with her almost 2 million Twitter followers?) If this is indeed how it plays out, keep an eye on Sadie & Mark as potential champs. But that's just a way, way, way early prediction.
DWTS Season 19 premieres Monday, September 15 from 8 to 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
