1. She’s a Duck Dynasty star
Sadie is the daughter of Duck Dynasty’s Willie and Korie Robertson, and the granddaughter of family patriarch Phil Robertson. But Sadie is more than just a pretty — and adorably dimpled — face. She’s also active in sports, including basketball and tennis. That can only help her on DWTS.
2. She is driven by faith
Sadie has 1.28 million followers on Twitter @sadierob, and her bio features this Bible quote: "Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting; the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. (Proverbs 31:30)" Last December, when her grandfather faced criticism for his anti-gay comments, Sadie took to Twitter to stand by her family and thank fans for their prayers and support. "This is what the family has decided. We know this is all in Gods hands," she tweeted, later adding, "God is able. He will never change. He is a mighty God."
3. She inspires others to "Live Original"
According to her ABC bio, Sadie is a motivational speaker who spends her summers on mission trips and working at a Christian youth camp spreading her message to peers about being confident in who you are and learning to “live original.” She collaborated with fashion designer Sherri Hill on her own “daddy-approved” prom dress line, Live Original, and walked in Sherri’s New York Fashion Week show in 2013. Sadie is developing her own Live Original line of school supplies for DaySpring, and she also has a new book coming out called Live Original: How the Duck Commander Teen Keeps It Real and Stays True to Her Values. All that and she’s still in high school!
4. She has a boyfriend
Sadie has apparently been dating Blake Coward since at least the start of 2014. They are all over each other's social media. According to AL, Blake is student at Madison Academy in Madison, AL, and met Sadie when she visited cousins who also attend the school. "I asked her on a date later," Blake said in April 2014. "It went great and then I visited her in Louisiana about a month later and we have been dating for three months now." They appear to still be going strong, so look for him in the DWTS audience.
5. She could go very far on DWTS
The DWTS demographic tends to skew more toward the conservative side, and pro Mark Ballas has had success taking two conservative stars to the Finals — Bristol Palin in Season 11 and Candace Cameron-Bure in this past spring’s Season 18. Neither star was one of the best dancers of her season, and Bristol occasionally frustrated non-fans with her less than enthusiastic attitude, but it didn’t matter. Sadie has the conservative Duck Dynasty fan base, but she also seems to have poise and charm on her side — and one word many fans have used to describe her is “humble.” She seems like a sweet girl and if she has any dance talent at all she and Mark could definitely be contenders for the win.
Are you rooting for Sadie to win DWTS? Season 19 premieres Monday, September 15 from 8 to 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
