Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Anna Trebunskaya didn’t get off to a good start on Dancing With the Stars last week, landing in the bottom two before being saved. And Anna thinks that might have something to do with Len Goodman being a bit too mean with his criticisms.

“I did think that was a little harsh,” Anna told TV Guide about Len’s judgement. “I thought there were a few couples who didn't do quite as well as Ray did and I felt it was not deserved.”

What does Anna think was the reason for the low scores? “[W]e were first and I think the judges are a little more critical in the beginning — expecting a little more. I think by the middle of the show, it's like, ‘Oh, yeah, I am on Dancing With the Stars and these people are beginners, so maybe I should back off.’”

Anna hopes things go better during story week, where Sugar Ray will tell a tale about his boxing career through music and dance.
