Add Mark Ballas to the list of MacManiacs! The Dancing With the Stars pro made the wise (and welcome — thanks, man!) decision to tap eliminated Irish pro Tristan MacManus on the shoulder to return to Season 14, Week 8 for the “Trio” challenge.

As Mark explained in his USA Today blog, “The Latin round promises to be fun, as there's a new challenge for all of the couples. It's called the ‘Trio’ round, meaning we can recruit another professional dancer for that routine. I'm thrilled that we got the pro I wanted. I can't tell you who it is, but let's just say this: I hope this pro helps us find a lucky pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! And maybe this experience will motivate the mystery dancer to finally sign up on Twitter.”

Note Mark got the pro he wanted. Can’t imagine Katherine Jenkins complained … but maybe Maria Menounos is jealous?

On May 4, Mark also tweeted, “Just asked tristan why he dosnt have twitter and he said "can't be bothered. Don't need people tellin me I'm a dick head on twitter, I already know that"... Ha ha #bestanswerever.” And on Sunday, Mark shared a photo with his buddy, “Chillers at @fratellicafe with Irish homie Tristan.. #scouse-celt.”

So … should Mark’s BFF Derek Hough watch his back? First Maria confessed she’d like to dance with Tristan and now Irish is the subject of Mark’s gushing tweets and blogs. Sounds like Mark might have a man crush. Not that we can blame him!

Watch the next new episode of DWTS tonight, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
