Brooke Burke Scoops Ice Cream for a Great Cause
She may be known for her killer body, but that doesn’t mean Dancing With the Stars' Brooke Burke doesn’t indulge every now and then — especially when it's to support a good cause. On June 6, the hot mama launched the “Reason to Smile” campaign. The goal? To raise money for Operation Smile by giving away 25,000 scoops of Dreyer’s Slow Churned Light Ice Cream.
The campaign will be traveling across the country this summer, giving away scoops of Dreyer’s Slow Churned at local fairs and family hangouts. For every person who smiles and uploads a photo to facebook.com/dreyersicecream, $5 will be donated to Operation Smile. The goal is to capture 25,000 smiles by the end of summer, which will fund 500 surgeries for children with cleft palates and other facial deformities in all parts of the world.
And really, what’s there not to grin about? Dreyer’s Slow Churned has ½ the fat and 1/3 the calories of regular ice cream. No wonder Brooke and her fellow hard-bodied pal Mario Lopez both enjoyed a scoop while kicking the campaign off at the Grove in Los Angeles!
