Cheryl Burke is the luckiest — and potentially unluckiest — Dancing With the Stars pro when it comes to Season 15 All-Stars options. She has three past partners returning: Both of her winners, Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith; and Gilles Marini, who was a frontrunner to win Season 8 but lost to Shawn Johnson after her amazing Freestyle.
Cheryl talked to Access Hollywood about how she still doesn’t know who she’ll get as her partner. (The pros find out in two weeks.)
“It’s going to be heartbreaking, honestly, at the end of the day,” Cheryl said, because even if she gets one of her past guys, that means she won’t be able to dance with the other two. She's even more worried that she won't get any of her three previous partners.
She admits she gets jealous — she’s even called herself a “jealous Taurus” — and she wouldn't like to see her guys with other pros. “You’re going to see me, like, going into rehearsals — whoever’s dancing with Gilles, Emmitt or Drew — I’m going to start, like, taking their shoes away from them,” Cheryl told Access. “I’ll be playing pranks on everybody.”
Do you think Cheryl will be paired with one of her three past partners? We were thinking she and Gilles deserve another shot, since they didn’t win the first time. Gilles said he wants to dance with Cheryl and she reportedly said she would only return to dance with him. Gilles is one of the taller All-Stars, so if they re-pair him, he might get one of the taller lady pros like Peta Murgatroyd. How irritated would Cheryl be with that — especially since Peta won Season 14 with a country Freestyle borrowed from Cheryl’s famous Season 2 Freestyle with Drew? If she already gets jealous, that could tip her over the edge.
