Fans noticed that she is missing from Season 14 but now Dancing With the Stars pro Lacey Schwimmer is saying that she voluntarily dropped out of this upcoming season.

"There are a lot of things going on in my life that I kind of need [to] step back and focus.” Lacey told SheKnows, "I'm trying to partition my time."

Lacey has been on DWTS for six seasons, starting with Season 7 when she was paired with Lance Bass. They went on to win 3rd place, which is very impressive for a first-timer. Past partners have included Steve-O, Kyle Massey, and her last partner, Chaz Bono on Season 13.

Lacey says that she wants to focus on her many professional opportunities, including her burgeoning music career, opening her own dance studio, and releasing Discount Dance Supply, which she describes as “cheap but still pretty. They're very funky.”

Don’t fret, DWTS fans, while SheKnows refers to this as Lacey’s “departure” from the show, the pro will still be making appearances throughout Season 14 as a dancer. Hopefully Lacey’s lil’ DWTS break won’t last longer than a season.

Watch the DWTS Season 14 premiere on Monday, March 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
