Former DWTS pro Julianne Hough looks dipped in gold in a KaufmanFranco dress and metallic Casadei sandals at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards.
Just because Mitt Romney is a Mormon Republican doesn’t necessarily mean everyone with a similar background is backing his presidential bid — but at least one person is: Two-time Dancing With the Stars champion Julianne Hough.
On Monday, The Insider did a breakdown of which celebs were on “Team Democrat” (short answer: most of them) and which stars were on “Team Republican,” including which individual GOP candidates they were backing. Chuck Norris was listed on “Team Newt Gingrich.” Kelly Clarkson and Vince Vaughn were “Team Ron Paul.” And “Team Mitt Romney” was said to include Cindy Crawford, DWTS veterans Marie and Donny Osmond and Julianne Hough.
Ryan Seacrest’s movie star girlfriend talked to The Insider about the GOP race. “I’m definitely following it,” Julianne said. “My father is a huge supporter. I mean he is tweeting every second of every comment.”
Julianne and Derek Hough’s father, Bruce Hough, was a two-time chairman of the Utah Republican Party. His @BruceHough Twitter bio reads “National Committeeman from Utah, Conservative, Business Executive, Kids have both won Dancing with the Stars!” The Houghs definitely have a lot to be proud of!
