Aly Raisman may be an Olympic gold-medalist, but that doesn’t mean she was Miss Calm, Cool, and Collected during her first Dancing With Stars 2013 Results Show. Sure, Aly and her pro partner Mark Ballas escaped unscathed after their stellar Week 2 Quickstep, but fellow Olympian Dorothy Hamill wasn’t so lucky.

“I’m happy I made it through, but it’s also really heartbreaking to see Dorothy Hamill go,” Aly wrote in her weekly blog for PARADE. “I feel really lucky to have met someone as amazing as her ... I think she’s such a warrior for even going out there.”

Aly also revealed how excited she is for Dancing With the Stars’ first-ever prom night episode next week. She and Mark will be dancing the Viennese Waltz — and it sounds like she has a lot of rehearsing to do since she doesn’t even know what that is! Thankfully, she has the perfect prom date to help her learn the ballroom steps.

“Mark is really sweet and funny — definitely the perfect prom date!” she wrote. “He never got to go to prom because they don’t have prom in London. Hopefully this night will be very special for him!”

Aww! It sounds like these two are a match made in prom heaven. But they’re going to have some serious competition for Prom King and Queen from Mark’s BFF Derek Hough and his partner Kellie Pickler.

“Mark and Derek are best friends, so we’re hanging out all the time, and Kellie is so sweet,” Aly wrote. “It’s been really fun.”

We’re glad she’s having fun and not letting the stress get to her! To ready Aly’s entire blog, including more Prom Week scoop and what it’s like living in LA, head on over to PARADE.
