What’s life without a little chaos? We’ve been enjoying Dancing With the Stars Season 16 so far, even if the “best” and “worst” have been pretty predictable. But we didn’t see this coming.

Week 7 will also be Latin Week, and DWTS pro Sharna Burgess talked to On the Red Carpet about her plans with Andy Dick, including the new twist. "Next week is going to be even more fun," Sharna told OTRC. "We have Rumba. It's going to be beautiful, and it's going to be soft, but it's also Latin Week so we have the immunity dance."

The what?

"What we've got, we have to have three routines ready for next week but we may only use one of them,” Sharna continued. “One couple will be immune from doing it, the highest-placed couple. The rest of us will have to basically battle it out with either a Samba, a Rumba or a Jive, I think."

As @DWTSGossip further attempted to explain, the highest scoring couple gets a pass but the remaining couples will have to dance for immunity. So, the idea of getting immunity from this is ... still confusing. The winner of that dance-off gets immunity from going home? The viewers/voters have no part in it, it’s kind of a judges’ save? We’ll have to hope for more details after tonight’s Results Shows, when the couples return with more intel on next week, then we’ll update.

UPDATE: Here's more info, from ABC's press release on Week 7: "Also on the agenda for Latin Night, the remaining seven couples will dance to Latin hits. After each couple has danced, the top couple based on judges' scores will be safe from elimination for the week. The remaining six couples will then take part in the Dance Off, where they'll compete against another couple doing the cha-cha, jive or rumba. For each of the three face-offs, the judges will declare a winning team, who'll be able to add three bonus points to their score."

What do you think about the idea of an immunity dance?
