Dancing With the Stars 2013 is spicing things up on the dance floor with Latin week! So we're expecting some extra hot Week 7 performances. Are you ready, Dancing With the Stars fans?
However, we have a feeling Latin Week will be a little more intense than usual. After all, there's immunity up for grabs with a new DWTS twist. That's right. The remaining Season 16 contestants have all prepared three routines, but may only use one of them.
According to pro Sharna Burgess, “One couple will be immune from doing it, the highest-placed couple. The rest of us will have to basically battle it out with either a Samba, a Rumba or a Jive.” Sounds kind of intense! Here's hoping some of our favorite celebs don't crack under the pressure. (We're looking at you, Andy Dick!)
Here’s the list of what each DWTS pair — and their pro counterparts — will be dancing:
Aly Raisman & Mark Ballas — Salsa
Andy Dick & Sharna Burgess — Rumba
Ingo Rademacher & Kym Johnson — Rumba
Jacoby Jones & Karina Smirnoff — Salsa
Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough — Samba
Sean Lowe & Peta Murgatroyd — Rumba
Zendaya & Val Chmerkovskiy — Paso Doble
Get the details on the couples' Latin Week performances here.
Well, now that you know what to expect, join in on the fun below as Wetpaint Entertainment gets ready to live recap the Week 6 Performance Show. And since we know you have a lot of feelings (we do too!), tell us what you think of the episode in the comments.
We’ll try our best to answer all of your questions, comments and concerns. Keep refreshing for more, and until the performances start, here’s a GIF of Sharna being PERFECT to tide you over.
8:01 — For the first time all season, I can say I really love Brooke's dress. Also for the first time all season, I like Peta's hair!
8:02 — Of course Jacoby is shirtless. OF COURSE!
8:03 — Why are the judges always so hard on Jacoby?
8:04 — "What are you doing?" "No. What are you doing?" We think that's an appropriate reaction, Jacoby. Something tells us this Salsa is going to be one of those OMG-CAN'T-MISS performances.
8:06 — Jacoby is in his element. Do you see the way he's tossing Karina around like she weighs literally nothing? These lifts are insane.
8:07 — Was he supposed to hit Karina in the head like that? She played it off well.
8:07 — Jacoby's mom is not one to be messed with, Len.
8:08 — Len said he would have preferred less lifts. We kind of agree. That was way too heart-stopping for us!
8:09 — "It's like you could fart the salsa!" says Carrie Ann. Oy.
8:10 — "I have so many end zone dances planed. I cannot wait." Are you ready, Ravens fans?!
8:11 — 9-9-9 for Jacoby and Karina! Now those are scores he can be proud of.
8:16 — Will Ingo get another "Bingo Ingo!" from Len?
8:17 — We love how Kym is making fun of his job in front of his face.
8:19 — 10-10-10 for Kym's body. Ingo's dance? Not so much.
8:20 — If only he would have done a full split... SIGH.
8:20 — Ingo's Rumba wasn't bad, but it also wasn't memorable.
8:21 — "They say hips don't lie, but in this case, I wish they would." Bruno is feelings a little feisty tonight!
8:23 — 7-8-7 for Ingo and Kym. Not exactly the triple 8's Ingo wanted.
8:25 — If you're wondering why Kellie and Derek aren't in the celeb aquarium, it's because they're still rehearsing backstage.
8:30 — Bad planning, Kellie.
8:31 — "Monday night, we're going to be dancing zombies." Do you want to see the wasp face, Kellie?!
8:33 — That wasn't our favorite Kellie and Derek dance, but it was still great. She's a total natural.
8:34 — Do streamers fall when you finish your dance, Zendaya?
8:35 — Carrie Ann says Kellie lacks the emotional connection to the dance. We have to agree. Kellie's technique is great, but the dance felt uninspired.
8:36 — 9-10-10 for Kellie and Derek!
8:36 — "I'm sorry grandma and grandpa. I didn't want to go shirtless!" Sure, Derek. Sure.
8:42 — The Rumba has been difficult for everyone this season. Poor Andy.
8:43 — Is Andy Dick afraid to get sexual? "When I look at myself in the mirror, I'm like, 'Who's that speckled freak?'"
8:45 — It's a little slow (OK, really slow!), but he's trying so hard!
8:46 — We wish we knew how to quit you, Andy Dick, but we don't.
8:47 — Whoa Bruno, CALM DOWN. At least Carrie Ann is giving constructive criticism.
8:49 — 5-6-6. Ouch, Carrie Ann! We'd have a sour face too, after that. Why you gotta be so mean, Carrie Ann?
8:51 — Was Andy underscored? We think so.
8:55 — Love that Mark spiced up his hospital gown with a fedora!
8:56 — Henry to the rescue!
8:57 — It looks like Aly's butt is definitely helping her with this Salsa.
8:58 — This might get Aly her first 10 of the season because that was seriously SO FUN!
8:59 — We want whatever Carrie Ann and Bruno are having.
9:00 — 10-9-10 for Aly and Mark! Given Mark's back injury, that's really impressive.
9:02 — We are not prepared to see Sean's Rumba. NOT AT ALL.
9:03 — You'd think Sean would be enjoying this more. It's the closest he's going to get to sex until his wedding night.
9:08 — The fog is always a nice trick. It takes away from the bad dancing.
9:09 — What do you think Sean was thinking about during that Rumba? We doubt it had anything to do with fiancee Catherine.
9:11 — "Sometimes your buns would stick out, and it looked like you were going to the toilet." Yep.
9:12 — 8-8-8 for Sean and Peta.
9:13 — The Paso Doble makes me nervous.
9:14 — "Val is very intense all of the time. I'm sure he eats breakfast intensely."
9:21 — Zendaya looks so fierce. This is SO GOOD. Best Paso this season. Hands down.
9:22 — Spotted: Roshon Fegan, former DWTS contestant and Zendaya's Shake It Up co-star.
9:24 — We didn't expect that many critiques from the judges. Do you think they were too harsh on Zendaya?
9:25 — 9-9-9 for Zendaya and Val! We think she deserved a 10 in there somewhere.
9:26 — It looks like Kellie and Derek are the winners of tonight's immunity challenge. How, you ask? We're still not 100 percent sure, but because Aly and Kellie both tied for the high-scoring dance of the night, they chose the couple with the highest average score throughout the competition? Does this feel random to anyone else?
9:31 — "For the very first time, you're going to be picked first." Oh Sharna, we love your sense of humor.
9:32 — Aly and Mark pick Andy and Sharna to dance against (like that was a surpise!), and Andy chooses the Cha-Cha-Cha.
9:38 — If only every DWTS contestant had as much heart and enthusiasm as Andy Dick.
8:40 — "Both of you did a fantastic job," said Bruno. Unfortunately for Andy, Aly and Mark were the judges' pick to win the dance off. So they get 3 extra points added to their score.
9:41 — We LOVE how Val went after the best (Jacoby and Karina) and didn't go for the easy win (like Mark and Aly). Another reason why Val is the best. Also, was that a subtle dig at Mark?
9:43 — So it's Zandaya and Val vs. Jacoby and Karina with the Jive. This dance-off is going to be INTENSE.
9:46 — Val and Zendaya are just so in-sync. It's incredible.
9:47 — Must Jacoby jump over Karina's head every week?
9:48 — Love how Carrie Ann called out Zendaya's "comfy shoes."
9:49 — "If you want to be the best, you need to challenge the best."
9:50 — Zendaya's precision won over Jacoby's flair! They get 3 extra points this week.
9:54 — Now it's Ingo and Kym vs. Sean and Peta in a sexy Rumba dance-off. Well, as sexy as these two bros can be.
9:55 — Sean is just so awkward.
9:56 — Loving Ingo's lines! But he's still a little stiff.
9:57 — Bruno calls it "The Battle of the Hunks." Um, really, Bruno? We'd beg to differ.
9:58 — Looks like Ingo and Kym are the winners of this dance-off! (Even though Bruno gave Sean and Peta his sympathy vote.) They'll get 3 points added to their score.
What did you think of tonight's performances? Do you think Kellie and Derek deserved immunity? Sound off in the comments!
