Make room for another new pro on Dancing With the Stars Season 16!

Gleb Savchenko of Dancing With the Stars Australia, is joining the spring 2013 season. On February 25 he tweeted, "Very honored to be a pro!!! @DancingABC and looking forward to a great season!!! #DWTS."

In his Twitter bio, he describes himself as “Australian National Professional Latin-American Champion 2011-2012, 10th place in WDC ranking awards 2009. Actor. Model.” According to SGleb.com, Gleb was born in Russia on 9/16/1983 and started to dance at the age of 7. At age 14 he knew ballroom dancing would be his career. He won competitions and modeled in Moscow before moving to New York, then Hong Kong, then Australia. His Twitter location reads “Sydney/Hong Kong/LA” so it sounds like he’s still a traveling man.

According to his DWTS Australia bio, "Gleb studied drama and theatre arts at the Moscow Theatre Arts University, graduating from the Russian Theatre Arts University with Masters in Choreography. Proficient in ballet and contemporary dance and a specialist in International Latin. Gleb is also currently studying and furthering his acting career by training at the prestigious The Actors Pulse in Sydney. He has appeared in film and television roles, and since 2007, has won six Professional Latin Dance Championships."

Gleb is the second brand new pro on DWTS Season 16, after So You Think You Can Dance alum Lindsay Arnold. DWTS pro troupe member Sharna Burgess has also been promoted to competing pro.

Watch Gleb dance on DWTS Australia in the video below, from April 2012. (He and his partner were eliminated first!) Do you think he’ll be a good addition to DWTS?
