The stars on Dancing With the Stars 2013 are halfway through the season, so they've gotten a sense of exactly what goes into this competition — and what they get out of it. People recently spoke to some of the Season 16 contestants, to find out what they think the best and worst parts of the DWTS experience are.
The positives are about what you'd expect. There's a lot of talk from everyone about meeting new people and making great new friends (both with their partners and the other contestants). Andy Dick, of course, mentions his "miraculous" growth as a person. Kellie also likes the "joy of dancing," and Zendaya thinks it's cool to learn new things.
As for the hardest part? The actual dancing! Kellie says it's hard to learn so much so quickly. Jacoby thinks "getting up every day knowing you have to go dance for six hours is pretty tough" — because dancing's not as easy as people think!
However, as hard as the rehearsals are, it's worth it when they get on stage. As Zendaya puts it, "up until the dance, you're like, 'Why do I put myself through this? Why would I do this to myself?' And then it all pays off and it all makes sense."
