If you’re a Zendaya Coleman fan, you’re probably thrilled that she and Val Chmerkovskiy were given Hip Hop as one of their dances for the Dancing With the Stars Season 16, Week 9 Semifinals. Maybe you even tweeted for her to get it! But if you’re not backing Zendaya this season, you may be grumbling that it’s not fair for her … what are they now …  2,599,091 Twitter followers to throw their weight into getting her the dance style she was already great at before signing on for the show. So be it.

The final six couples were told their Twitter fan-chosen dance styles on the Week 8 Results Show. Here’s what they got, plus details on the other individual dances for the Monday, May 13 Performance Show.

Zendaya Coleman & Val Chmerkovskiy, Hip Hop, Quickstep

Val admitted to On the Red Carpet that he doesn’t have experience with Hip Hop. It’s Zendaya’s dance. He’s happy for her that they got it — and he’s into Hip Hop culture — but he has no choreography experience with the style, so he’s going to do some research. Zendaya joked about drilling him on how to not have posture, but then they have to switch gears and do basically the opposite with Quickstep, which is all about keeping frame and being in hold. Val said he had a revelation Monday night. This season has flown by for him and he wants to take a second to just enjoy the moment. Watch the video for Val’s thoughts on having four couples in the Finals instead of the usual three. He’s not a big fan of the plan.

Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough, Flamenco, Argentine Tango

Kellie joked that Flamenco is like dancing flamingos. Close! (Not really.) Derek told OTRC they'll be using a lot of stomping. "Basically it's a story about keeping the devil down, so they stomp to keep him down." He hadn’t heard their music by Tuesday night, so he wasn’t sure what they would do. Derek said next week’s dances are both intense — their other one is Argentine Tango — and even though Kellie plays on the idea of just being sweet, she has some darkness and drama to her.

Derek also isn't sure he loves the idea of a four couple finale. For him, the podium is 1, 2, 3. But it means more dancing, so that's good.

Ingo Rademacher & Kym Johnson, Charleston, Samba

Kym showed Ingo some Charleston moves backstage after Tuesday's show and he wasn't sure he was thrilled to get it as their style. He also said they're not doing the hard steps in the dances, they are going to do whatever he can do and to hell with the steps! They're just going to have fun. The judges just want to see a performance, he said.

Their other dance is the Samba. "I'm making this Samba really sexy and hot," Kym told OTRC, "and then the Charleston's going to be really fun and animated like a cartoon character."

They know they need high scores to get through to the final four. Kym likes the idea of doing a four-couple Finale. Ingo likes it too, because four couples gives him a better chance of … getting on the Disney jet to fly to New York? Apparently that's what happens when you get to the end.

Aly Raisman & Mark Ballas, Afro Jazz, Rumba

Aly didn't know anything about Afro Jazz, even though she campaigned to get it. Mark told her, "It's like a tribal kind of Jazz fused with some funk. It's going to be awesome. Lots of shaking and jumping and acting like a monkey jumping around." Mark told OTRC their music has loud, tribal drums and screaming monkey sounds. "It's going to be really cool!" So like the Tribal Trio Mark did with Derek and Shawn Johnson on All-Stars? Aly said it's going to show a whole different side of her, because she has this Afro Jazz and then Rumba — two completely different styles.

In their Monday night video, they also mentioned how Zendaya can get whatever she wants with these Twitter votes because she has so many Twitter followers. They said they still love the fan-chosen styles and it’s all good, but … it has to be frustrating.

Jacoby Jones & Karina Smirnoff, Lindy Hop, ??

At this point, Jacoby and Karina have yet to share details on their second dance. Based on Karina’s tweets, it sounds like she’s not feeling well and had to back out of an event on May 8. On May 9 she tweeted, “Thank u 4 ur sweet wishes. This virus is vicious but I'm feeling a little better. Need to be! It's semifinals!” Get well soon!

Who are you rooting for to make the final four Finale?
