Wow, what a nasty curveball! We were shocked enough when D.L. Hughley was safe, but then Dorothy Hamill & Tristan MacManus were also declared safe … until Dorothy declared her own body unsafe. Chances are she knew about that before 9:59 p.m., but a TV show needs drama, so that news was held for right at the end, when we were down to the real bottom two of Lisa Vanderpump & Gleb Savchenko and Victor Ortiz & Lindsay Arnold.
Yes, the two brand new DWTS pros were in the bottom, as kind-of expected, since even though D.L. had the lowest scores, he also had the magic wand of Cheryl Burke to help him. It’s rough to be a new pro, and Cheryl has never been eliminated first.
So who would’ve gone home, if Dorothy & Tristan hadn't withdrawn due to injury?
It’s almost a shame they didn’t say who was saved by Dorothy’s ailing body, since maybe that would rally that couple’s fans next week. Instead, we’re left to guess. We picked the lovable Victor & Lindsay as our pre-season picks to win the whole thing — granted that was before rehearsals even started — but we’re guessing they were the ones with the lowest combined scores and votes. Lisa & Gleb have a bigger combined online following than Victor & Lindsay, and Gleb is the new DWTS mancandy. If we're honest, we sent Lisa & Gleb a few votes just for the hope of future shirtless dances and more Giggy. (And we're not sorry!)
What do you think? Which couple was supposed to go home this week?
