The Trios are back! The Trio Challenge made its debut last year on Dancing With the Stars Season 14, and more than 88 percent of readers approved of the new theme. The Trios will be featured again on Season 16, Week 8, which means we’ll have more of our beloved pros in the ballroom. We never hate that!

MONDAY, MAY 6

Here's who is dancing what on the Performance Show. Everyone has two full individual dances this week. Also, ABC revealed, viewers will be called to action on Twitter to choose new dance styles for each couple for the following week of competition. The new styles will include Afro-Jazz, Disco, Flamenco, Hip-hop, Lindyhop and Charleston. (We’re sad that Andy Dick is missing out on that! Don’t you want to see him dance Afro-Jazz?)

TUESDAY, MAY 7

The Results Show will feature music by singer Jason Derulo, who will perform his current single, “The Other Side,” as well as Scottish songstress Emeli Sandé, who will perform her hit, “Next to Me,” and her new single, “Heaven.” The show will also feature an opening number choreographed by Jason Gilkison and featuring the pro and troupe dancers. In addition, “Macy’s Stars of Dance” returns for its final installment of the season, featuring Derek Hough and Jaimie Goodwin. And how’s this for a tease: “Paying homage to a Fred Astaire classic — but with a modern twist — this mind-bending routine will take place in a rotating room in yet another first for Dancing with the Stars and live television.” Sounds good!

But then another couple will have to go home.  We fear for whoever gets the lowest scores of Week 8, since the trend has been for the low-ranking couple to hit the road.
