Frankly, Scarlett, Rhett doesn’t give a damn — but the rest of us do!

Kelly Monaco and Valentin Chmerkovskiy have been the source of much interest and speculation (and great dancing!) this season on Dancing With the Stars All-Stars, and we hate the idea that they could be leaving tonight. Their Gone With the Wind Tango got the lowest score of Country Week 6, but they did provide viewers with a couple of new talking points. Like, how about that slap — and that kiss!

On the Red Carpet asked if that passionate smooch was planned as part of their routine, or was it spontaneous? "It was a little bit of both," Val said. "We hadn't practiced that, so it was very spontaneous — like the slap. She slapped me with a lot of passion, so I was like, ‘Alright, I guess I have to return the favor and slap her with a kiss.’"

They did rehearse a slap, just not one that hard. The General Hospital star planned for a "soap opera slap" with no contact. But Val said they have been genuine in everything they do, so he wanted her to slap him like she meant it. So then he kissed her like he meant it.

For the record, because this is the kind of thing their chemistry keeps bringing up, Kelly and Val are not doin’ it. Kelly said if they had sex it would be unprofessional, although they feel like they are technically married right now because they spend every waking minute together. And depending on your definition of "dating," they are kinda dating, since they go out and about together. But it's a professional relationship, first and foremost, and their chemistry is basically part of the show. Whatever — we just don’t want to lose it after tonight!
