You can always trust Dancing With the Stars pro Louis van Amstel to keep fans up-to-speed on DWTS scoop. It’s one of the many reasons we love him.

Louis, who competed on Season 15 All-Stars with Sabrina Bryan, recently noted that the pros only find out if they’ll be competing on a season one or two days before the public gets the same news. Season 16 premieres on March 18, so we figure the cast and pro partners will be revealed at some point in February. On that note, Louis tweeted this scheduling detail yesterday: "All I know is rehearsals start the week of February 25. I have absolutely no idea who's rumored to be on season 16, so u tell me! Haha."

There are still mysteries all over the place, but the scheduling pieces are starting to come together. Last spring, it looks like the Season 14 cast stepped out for their first week of practice on Wednesday, February 29, in advance of the March 19 premiere. The cast had been revealed the day before, on Tuesday, February 28. So maybe they’ll do something similar this time — announcing the cast on Good Morning America on, say, Monday, February 25 or Tuesday, February 26, with rehearsals starting the next day or later that week.

As for the cast? Yeah, we’re waiting for more serious rumors to emerge, as opposed to just hearing from people who say they won’t be dancing this season.
