The U.S. presidential candidates aren’t the only ones campaigning this summer.

Dancing With the Stars is currently casting its first All-Stars season — and while some favorites have been hesitant to sign up for more grueling dance work, others are openly asking to return. Maria Menounos (Season 13), Margaret Cho (Season 11) and co-host/champion Brooke Burke-Charvet (Season 7) have said they want to come back for All-Stars. This week, Joey Lawrence and Carson Kressley have added their names to the list. Sort of.

Joey took third place with now ex-pro Edyta Sliwinska back on Season 3. On July 9, Joey tweeted, "peeps I need you!! go asap to abc.tv/NlClUg  and vote for me to be on the all-stars season @DancingABC! ‪#dwts." That’s the kind of tweet a fan was sending out for Season 10’s Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya, which Anna re-tweeted. You never know if ABC is reading those casting pages and counting comments or what.

Carson, who danced with Anna on Season 13, went for more of a tease. On July 8, Carson tweeted, "Bye @dwtslv @troplv I had a great run!!! Time to retire the dancing shoes? Until ‪#dwts all stars?" Carson’s name has been on a lot of folks’ All-Stars dream lists and since he now has more experience after Dancing With the Stars: Live in Las Vegas, it’s possible he might even be good at this point.

But if Anna wants to dance with Evan, who would dance with Carson (assuming either says yes to returning)? Should reigning pro champion Peta Murgatroyd dance with Evan, since she has expressed interest in dancing with him, and Anna sticks with Carson? Or should Carson dance with his other DWTS BFF, Kym Johnson? And what about Joey? Edya is not only gone, she may have burned a couple of bridges with production on the way out. It would be great to see her again on All-Stars, but not likely. So maybe Joey could dance with Chelsie Hightower, if she doesn’t have a past partner returning?

This All-Stars casting is complicated! Thankfully it’s in better hands than ours, although we can still speculate. What do you think about Carson and/or Joey returning? Vote below.
