We mean, no, Dancing With the Stars Season 15 All-Stars wasn’t really that disappointing — to us, anyway. But yes to the idea of two seasons a year!
We were sweating there for a while, but ABC Entertainment's Paul Lee just offered up some encouraging DWTS news at the TCA Press Tour. According to E! News, the ABC boss first said the lower-rated All-Stars was "disappointing" and that "people want to see bad dancing, too." However, don't worry right now about losing the fall season.
"We still intend to keep [DWTS] going twice a year," Lee said. "It's still a big, broad, crowd pleaser. I think the All-Star version made it a little bit older. I think we have the ability of casting fresh and bringing in the younger audience again. We think there's a lot of life in it. 16 million viewers is a lot of viewers."
Very true about 16 million viewers — and perhaps Season 16 will bring in even more. The spring 2013 season premieres March 18. Are you happy about this news?
