Well, the bad news is, Cheryl Burke is back to being “so single.”

The Dancing With the Stars pro told the New York Post she and hockey player Joffrey Lupul had “a fun little summer thing” but nothing came of it and they are now friends. The good news is, that puts Cheryl back in the running to be The Bachelorette, should ABC go for another DWTS/Bachelor Nation crossover. “If they offer it to me,” Cheryl said. “I would love to do it.”

But The Bachelorette usually tapes when DWTS is airing its spring season. So, if they picked Cheryl, she would probably have to skip a season. It’s not unheard of — pros have skipped seasons before — but Cheryl has been with DWTS every season since her debut on Season 2.

Cheryl said it would be nice to take a little break from DWTS, even though she’s under contract for several more seasons. Maybe she’s like Maksim Chmerkovskiy. He told On the Red Carpet “I'm leaving when my contract expires [at the end of next year]. I think everybody's going to leave then."

Cheryl also revealed that she is shopping her own reality TV series. Her rep told the Post it “won’t stray far from her roots.” But that sounds like something for after, or at least not in conflict with, her DWTS career.

What do you think about Cheryl’s future TV plans? Would you watch her reality TV series? What about Cheryl as The Bachelorette? Or do you only care to see her on DWTS?

Catch a new episode of Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars on Monday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
