Derek Hough can’t even ignore it anymore. Dancing With the Stars All-Stars judge Len Goodman has called him out two weeks in a row now — last week for doing a Rumba with Shawn Johnson that the judge decided wasn’t a real Rumba, and this week, on Country Week 6, for putting too much “frippery” in their Cha-Cha-Cha. Bruno Tonioli gave both dances a perfect 10, but Len went with an 8 last week and an 8.5 this week.

It’s not the first season where Len has singled out Derek, but this time it seems to be especially frustrating for the pro dancer, since he’s trying to challenge himself — as well as Shawn — with new and exciting routines.

"I've reached the point now where I'm like, it's kind of personal now,” Derek told On the Red Carpet. “Like, two weeks in a row you give us an 8? Come on. Last I checked, I thought this was an All-Stars season. I think he wants me to revert back to old Season 6 stuff. I don't know."

The three-time DWTS champion repeated something like that to Zap2it, saying, "I'll do this for you, Len: I'll keep it simple. [...] I'll go back to Season 6 choreography if that's what you want."

On top of that, he has his own injury — in addition to Shawn's knee injury, which was showcased on Monday. Derek told OTRC he has a bulging disc in his vertebrae that became inflamed today. "I've had it for a couple years," he told Zap2it, "but once it flares up — like it did today — it sort of immobilizes me."

But they worked through it. And Shawn’s knee is doing OK now. She was more upset about a little mistake she made during her Cha-Cha-Cha. No one seemed to notice it, but it was eating away at her. They are perfectionists!
